Just look at the two screenshots below, they speak for themselves:
Did you get confused too? Needed to look again which is which?
Let me say one thing though. No, you will not find a brand-new Macintosh computer as this eMac with full warranty advertised for 25% discount legally anywhere in the US. You just won't. Trust me. The keyword is "Minimum Advertised Price" (MAP). Look it up on Google. So, as always, the simple rule is "If it's too good to be true, it most likely is!"

MacFanaticShop.com June 24, 2004: "Xserver"? |
Let's look at the MacFanaticShop again (right). See how they even copied that "Ultimate" description and the "custom built" logo? Apple may be somewhat lenient with resellers when they use the same description; it's the same products, after all. But I'm sure there's a limit. And if someone copies every single word, every little symbol from the Apple Store to the point where you get confused which is which, they clearly crossed that line. Would be interesting to see what Apple thinks about that.
Oh...to quote my favorite CEO: One more thing! It says "custom built" on the MacFanaticShop site, but when you click on it, it doesn't let you custom build anything. Try it, click on the screenshots, they will take you to the respective websites. If they haven't changed yet, you can see for yourself. But, for that matter, I don't think any online shop other than Apple's own offers custom built Xserves anyway. At least I've never seen one.
What do we learn? Use your common sense before you buy!
