I don't have any special powers to investigate or otherwise pursue this guy, I'm not even a victim myself. I set up my web site because, as a loyal Mac user, I was upset that "my" computing platform is being abused for such a scam. I had been watching the fraud through the MacRumors forum for a long time and nothing seemed to happen with the guy. He just showed up again and again with new "shops". It angered me that someone could get away with such a scheme and so I decided to do something and provide a platform for the victims and a central place to collect information. My email address is on the bottom of this page.

If you are Dennis Charalambid(es) or otherwise affiliated with MacFanaticShop

You probably feel the urge to intimidate me, demand to take down this website and threaten me with legal action. Go right ahead. I will post your reply here for everyone's amusement.

If you are a victim or witness

If you are listed on this site and would like to add more information, or if you are a victim of any of the Mac[xzy]Shops not listed here yet, please email me. I would like to get a better picture of how large this scam really has become. If you have taken steps, talked with someone at the bank, police, FBI, etc., it'd be nice if you would share that with me too. The best chance of success comes from a coordinated effort.

Of course, if you would prefer not to see your nick name or full name listed here, I will gladly remove any identifying information. (Mr. Charalambid, don't try, I will make sure the people emailing me with such a request are who they say they are.) Keep in mind though, I informed law enforcement agencies of this website — the more complete the information here, the better the chances that they take action and perhaps even recover some of your lost money.

Add your story to the MacRumors forum thread. It helps keeping the thread alive and puts all the information in one place. You may also email me for access to the victim forum.

Do not forget to report your individual case to the proper law enforcement authorities! The Internet Fraud Complaint Center is a good place to start. The Washington State Attorney and the one in your own state, as local police and the Better Business Bureau are also good ideas.

If you are a member of the media

Please feel free to use any information, pictures etc. on this site for your purposes. I would like to encourage you to report about this scam as widely as possible to prevent other unsuspecting people from falling prey to MacFanaticShop.

If you are a law enforcement agent

Please contact me if you have any questions. I may have further information if people requested it to be removed. (Again, Mr. Charalambides, don't try!)
