MacFanaticShop currently advertises through Overture, a Google competitor that provides "sponsored listings" for chosen search terms. Overture powers search on Yahoo!, Altavista, CNN and many other popular sites, which gives MacFanaticShop a wide reach. Its ads will show up when users search for the terms "Mac", "iMac", "eMac", "iPod" etc.
The ad above is one of many placed all over the net by MacFanaticShop. You could get this one by searching for "Apple Macintosh" on Yahoo. Click on the picture to see if it still works!

Here are a few more examples as seen on the web on July 1st, 2004. You can click on any of these screen shots to see if the original search still brings up these MacFanaticShop ads. Please note how an "Apple dealer of 6 years" spells iPod and eMac (below). Or is he perhaps talking about that ancient UNIX text editor?? |
